To what extent did the methods and goals of the Civil Rights Movement shift significantly from the mid-1960’s onwards?
the methods became more violent in 1969 with the prison riots begging for cleaner conditions, instead of hanging back in the distance african americans are now going head first into battle to become heard. also like the riots the black panther party, in california (were it is illegal to have loaded weapons) are carrying loaded guns in public places trying to make the community nervous.
after the 1960s african americans used more force and violence to get their point acrossed, instead of sitting in the back round trying to be peaceful. the quickest way to be heard is violence.
