part II

To what extent did the methods and goals of the Civil Rights Movement shift significantly from the mid-1960’s onwards?
the methods became more violent in 1969 with the prison riots begging for cleaner conditions, instead of hanging back in the distance african americans are now going head first into battle to become heard. also like the riots the black panther party, in california (were it is illegal to have loaded weapons) are carrying loaded guns in public places trying to make the community nervous.
after the 1960s african americans used more force and violence to get their point acrossed, instead of sitting in the back round trying to be peaceful. the quickest way to be heard is violence.

day uno (sorry i forgot to post)

There are only 10 internment camps,  those who were Japanese immigrations where denied from becoming U.S citizens
Before the camps where completed the Japanese – Americans where held in temporary centers such as stables at local racetracks.
Children where expected to  attend school and adults had an option of working for a 5 dollar a day salary.
The Japanese Americans would be shot at if they try to flee the camps by the guards who stand 24/7 around the clock.
Congress attempted to apologize for the actions by awarding each surviving intern $20,000.
American concentration camps or internment camps never reached the harsh levels that of the Nazi death camps.

fire oh no

From the perspective of an American living in 1911 who has been following the news of the Triangle Factory Fire and its aftermath in your daily paper, tell me your reaction to the events. What action (if any) do you think should be taken?
  • How do the events of the Triangle Factory Fire and its aftermath tie in with what we've learned about the Progressive Era thus far?
what where those factory owners thinking shuting the windows locking the doors, inoccent people died for this reason. they shoud be made to lose there job and never be in the busniess indusry this workers should be the ones to own these factorys and make them work like monkeys for them just like they made those poor immagrate do.

the triangle facotory ties in with the progressice era by, it factorys who arent caring about their people and letting them get hurt with low wages and no insurance or anything. its showing how buisness men are getting away with anything they want if you have the money for it. it shows that if your rich you can pay to keep peoples mouths shut and have them forget about everything.

Explain why unions had little success during the period 1871-1900 in improving the economic and social position of U.S. workers

the union had little sucess in the 1870s, in improving thing economic and social positions of the u.s workers. the union instead of working together they took eachothers jobs, never working together on anything. they could never out way the power and the amount of money the bigger companies held over there heads. the government never supported the weak small union they government always supported the big powerful companies, also the union had some public reaction problems, they were radicals always doing something wrong making a fool of themselves.
